What is Rad-dex?
A daily radiology study tool. Each day it builds a short set of board-style questions, imaging signs, pearls, and recent papers across the sections you follow, then uses spaced repetition to resurface them so they stick.
Who is it for?
Radiology residents and fellows preparing for the Core and Certifying exams, and practicing radiologists who want to stay current across sections.
Is it free?
Yes — it is free during our beta. If paid plans arrive later, we will give plenty of notice.
Where does the content come from?
It is generated daily with AI assistance and reviewed on an ongoing basis, spanning the breadth of the exam blueprint and a few topics beyond it. It is a study aid, not a primary reference, and it can contain errors.
How does Rad-dex stay current?
We track the reporting systems and guidelines radiology runs on, including BI-RADS, Lung-RADS, LI-RADS, PI-RADS, the Fleischner recommendations, and the ACR contrast and MR safety manuals. When one of them changes, the affected cards are reviewed and updated, and every revision is logged in plain language on the Recent updates page.
How does the spaced repetition work?
You grade each item once — Again, Hard, Good, or Easy. Rad-dex schedules the next review based on how well you knew it, bringing it back right before you would forget. The scheduling runs on a modern memory model that adapts to how you actually remember. Nothing to schedule yourself.
What happens when reviews pile up?
The Review page separates what is due today from what is overdue, shows the week ahead, and surfaces the cards you are closest to forgetting first. On a busy day, Quick 10 gives you a short, finishable session of the ten most fragile cards.
I am a fellow or attending. Is this just board review?
No. Every card carries a depth level and your feed climbs as you do: foundations first, then fellowship-level nuance. We also curate papers from the major radiology journals, including landmark and lesser-known studies chosen for practicing radiologists rather than exam prep alone.
Can I choose what I study?
Yes. Pick the sections you follow and set a daily goal on the Plan page. Turn on Focus to temporarily narrow your deck to a few sections while you are on service. Depth, spaced repetition, and your exam date live there too.
Is it affiliated with the ABR?
No. Rad-dex is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the ABR or any certifying board.
Do you store patient data?
No. Rad-dex contains no patient data and no protected health information. We store only your account email, study preferences, and learning progress.
How do I report an error or send feedback?
Use the Report button on any card to flag a specific item, or the floating Feedback button in the corner of the app for anything else. Both reach us directly.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Rad-dex is built for mobile and can be added to your home screen for a quick daily session.
